Jockamo IPA

From the Abita Brewing Company in Louisiana.

I had this on tap at Not Your Average Joe’s. One word for this beer, AWESOME! What a great arrangement of malt, bitterness and flower notes.  The front has a strong hop smell the middle is smooth flavor with some fruity notes and the finish has a nice flowery hop taste. The color has a nice hop haze to it. What a fantastic beer. I was quite surprised.

Jockamo IPA weighs in with a solid 6.5% ABV and sports a weighty 52 IBUs. The next time you are at NYAJ’s in Methuen, you must try it!  I have found it hard to find a bad beer lately. Maybe I should not complain about that.

Overall Grade: A

Cheers,

Matt
